Today's news:

Alpenglow Tally-Ho of Kelimoor "Alphi" and Eva Tønnessen competed at an obedience trial today in Sweden, arranged by Orust Brukshundklubb, where they won 1st prize in obedience class II and placed 5th with 170.5 points under judge Willy Goberg, which moves them up to obedience class III - HURRAY! Well done, Eva and Alphi! Congratulations!

Other news this past week:

The 2011 results are in for Dual Purpose Golden, Retriever Cup and the Retriever Championship (all three of which are annual nationwide competitions in Norway), and Alpenglow Tally-Ho of Kelimoor "Alphi" did well! Congratulations to her owners/handlers at Kennel Kerenza! Sofie Wollbraaten was Alphi's handler in the show ring, while Eva Tønnessen was her handler at field trials, obedience trials and tracking tests.

Retriever Championship 2011 (based on obedience, agility and/or search and rescue trial results): Alphi won 2nd place in the Obedience Class II category!

Dual Purpose Golden 2011 (combination of best show and field trial results): Alphi won 3rd place!

Retriever Cup 2011 (based on show, field trial, working test, tracking, obedience and agility results with show results being mandatory for all participants, and field trial results being mandatory if results are to be included from a maximum of 4 categories): Alphi was the 4th Best Golden Retriever in Norway and the 14th Best Retriever (all retriever breeds), and her results were from show, field trial, tracking and obedience!

SIXPENCE TROPHY WINNER 2011!

Alpenglow Tally-Ho of Kelimoor "Alphi" and her owner/handlers at Kennel Kerenza have been active in 2011, both in the show ring and in various dog sports. Some highlights... In June, under judge Filip Johnsson, Alphi won her second CAC with her owner/handler Sofie Wollbraaten, which means that Alphi needs only one more CAC to become a Norwegian show champion! In August, Sofie and Alphi traveled to Sweden where they participated in the Swedish Winner show, winning the open class, 4th best bitch, Res.CAC and CACIB under judge Jose Miguel Doval Sanchez!

Eva Tønnessen keeps Alphi in good shape and trains her in field trial, obedience, agility, and tracking. In 2011 they have competed in field trial, obedience class II and tracking, and after winning 1st prize in a beginner class field trial in September under judge Johnny Henriksen (where she placed 2nd of 18 participants), Alphi can now move up to the open class in future field trials! Alphi's show and field trial prizes have resulted in her once again being Norway's most winning golden retriever in the show ring with a field trial result - two years in a row Alphi has been the Sixpence Trophy Winner! Congratulations to Sofie, Eva and Alphi!
